Our Cornerstone Females
We have built the core of our herd around these
two females. Our
focus has been heavily on muscling and milking ability, with an emphasis on
fleshing ability. We have kept all the daughters of these cows in our
herd.

Miss Victres Day Cow Family |
 |
JR Gloria C104
was our pick from the Final Rice Sale, the dispersal back in 1994.
Gloria has proven herself over and over again in our herd. We
currently have several granddaughters and daughters in production. Her
most famous contribution is producing RJH Momentum H45 who is the sire
of RJH New Dimension. Gloria is a larger framed cow, tons of volume
and loads of milk.
|
Other Cow Families
that we are currently building our herd with.
 |
JR Baccarat D209
was purchased as a heifer calf at the Rice Dispersal in 1994. She has
produced 3 herdsires that have gone on to progressive
herds in Iowa and Kansas. Her daughters are in production
at Woodland View Farms. She is the dam
RJH Basic Baccarat J7 pictured further down this page. Other progeny
photos can be found on the "Sales" page. |
|
 |
RJH Gloria's
Maggie G2 is a unique combination. She is a grand-daughter to both
Miss Victress Day and JR Gloria C104. You can see by her picture that
she combines the best of both worlds, being a deep volumed, heavy milking,
and easy fleshing cow. She is moderately framed and goggle eyed.
She is young and we have a daughter in production, a son in a commercial
herd, and two other daughters that have been sold to purebred herds in IA
and SD. |
 |
RJH Allure
is a daughter of Miss Victress Day and the dam of RJH New
Dimension K40. She is pictured here as a dry cow taken in our fall
pasture. RJH Allure has been added to our donor program. Embryo
Calves by Allendale Robin Hood have arrived as of Feb. 2005. RJH
Allure is the definition of a "POWER COW". We are retaining all of her
daughters that we have been fortunate enough to develop through our embryo
program. |
 |
RJH
Maternal Elegance C10 is the dam of herdsires, RJH Stout F29,
RJH Wrangler
H4, and RJH Olympus N12.
We have retained daughters of C10. At 14 years of age she has kept her
youthful appearance, udder quality, teat size, weight and continues to breed
back on schedule. |
 |
FELTONS KATE R36-
Kate was our pick of the bred heifers in the Felton dispersal sale.
We felt that she
was easily one of the top heifers in terms of phenotype while having well
balanced EPD's. An out-cross pedigree. Dam of 2006 Champion Polled
Hereford Female at Iowa Beef Expo Junior Show. |
 |
RJH Promise H7 is pictured as a first calf
heifer. She is a daughter of No Limit and
produced a steer that was # 4 out of over 100 entries in the carcass results at the 2002 Junior
National in South Dakota. She is also the dam of
several bulls and heifers that we have
sold off of the farm. An out-cross pedigree. |
 |
RJH Basic Baccarat J7. She is a daughter of JR Baccarat D209. She
continues to produce us outstanding heifers, two of which are pictured on the "Maximilian" page. RJH Crystal and
National Class Winner RJH Champagne N46.
|
 |
RJH Gloria K41 is a daughter of RJH
Gloria's Maggie G2 pictured above and CRR RJH Walker 810. She is a
heavy milking, deep bodied and easy fleshing female. She has
consistently "stamped" out phenotypically correct calves.
Her 2004 heifer calf was without question one of our top calves.
Unfortunately we lost the calf to a sudden illness. Thankfully for
2005 she has produced us another outstanding heifer calf. An out-cross
pedigree. Dam of High Selling Female at 2006 Iowa Beef Expo Hereford
Sale. |
 |
RJH Victress K8 is a grand-daughter of
Miss Victres Day and a daughter of CRR RJH 651 Walker 810. K8 is a freckle faced,
moderate framed, easy fleshing, deep sided female with a great udder and
plenty of milk-flow. We have kept her only daughter in our herd.
An out-cross pedigree. |
 |
RJH Victress L24 is a
grand-daughter of Miss Victres Day and a daughter of JSF 37 271 Devo 23C.
L24 combines volume, femininity and soundness as one of our highest milk EPD
females with a 31 MM.
|
 |
RJH Persephone L46 is a grand-daugther
of JR Y168 Persephone B169 and a daughter of JSF 37 271 Devo 23C. L46
is a young, heavy milking female that has done an outstanding job of raising a heavy heifer calf each fall.
|
Up and coming young RJH females
These are a few of our young
cows and heifers, who are the future of our program.
|
RJH
Victress M19 a daughter of Maximilian and a is from the Victress Day
cow family. Victress is being added to our donor program. She combines extreme
mass, depth of body, and an outstanding udder for her first year! She
is pictured here as a 2004 first calf heifer Full Sib to RJH Omega
R14.
|
|
RJH PRECIOUS M11 is a New Dimension
daughter that we have high expectations for. In her first show at
five months of age she was Reserve Grand Champion at the Iowa State Fair.
She is a sound, free moving, heavy muscled and easy fleshing female that had
an outstanding udder her first year. |
 |
RJH H45
Betty N71. "Betty" is a massive, powerful daughter of "Momentum"
that you have to see to believe. She is without a doubt a future donor
cow.
This
young powerhouse is out of an extremely heavy milking S&S Basic 1G daughter
and maternal grand-dam DF Miss Progress 423D.
Betty is
co-owned with Olson Hereford Ranch, ND, and DAN Polled Herefords, ND.
|
 |
RJH 325K Champagne N46 is another
Maximilian daughter that we are impressed with. She follows the
expectations of Max daughters by having wonderful milk flow and udder
development as a first calf heifer. She was a National Class winner at
Louisville as a heifer calf. |
 |
RJH K40 Illumination is a deep
sided, moderate framed New Dimension daughter. We are excited to see what kind of cow she will make
for us. Her dam is an outcross cow that we purchased. |
 |
RJH K40 Grace is another New Dimension
daughter. She is out of Feltons
Kate MR36 pictured up above. Her full sister will be in our 2007 NWSS
showstring. |
